What time shall I arrive?
To enhance your Spa experience, please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow time to relax in the lounges, saunas, steam rooms and whirlpool.

Should I shave before my treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, please do so at least two hours before your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services.

What should I NOT bring to the spa?
The Emerald Mist Spa cannot assume any liability for your valuables. Lockers are available for clothing; however, it is recommended that you leave valuable items in the safe in your guest room. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off while you are in the spa. The spa is a smoke-free facility.

Do I have to be a certain age to enjoy spa treatments?
Minors, of any age, cannot receive body treatments or massages. Minors aged 15 and younger can receive the following services in the spa salon: manicures, pedicures, make-up and hair services. Minors aged 16-17 may receive facials and eyebrow/lip/chin waxing services as long as a Minor's Authorization & Release Form has been completed by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must also be present if the above mentioned services are delivered in an enclosed area, such as a spa treatment room, that is not in view of other guests and associates. Minors must remain fully-clothed at all times. The saunas, whirlpools, and steam rooms are reserved for adult use only.

May I use the relaxation lounges without getting a spa treatment?
Hotel guests not receiving spa treatments may use the relaxation lounges for a daily access fee.

You may purchase gift certificates for a specific dollar amount or for specific treatments. Spa gift certificates can be used toward services or purchases at the spa boutique and may not be refunded or redeemed for cash. Please contact the spa for additional information.

What do I wear?
Robes and slippers are provided in the women and men lounges upon arrival to the spa. Although most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, please wear whatever is comfortable for you. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the areas being worked on.

What about my comfort?
Your spa experience is your time, so we strive to ensure you enjoy it to the fullest. If you experience discomfort due to room temperature, massage pressure, music volume or any other conditions, please inform your therapist immediately.

What if I have special health concerns?
In order to better accommodate you, please notify the spa if you have allergies, any physical ailments or disabilities. This will enable us to direct you to treatments that best suit your concerns and eliminate any delay for your treatment. We recommend that individuals with high blood pressure or heart concerns exercise caution using the steam room, sauna and hot whirlpool.

Should I avoid the spa if I am pregnant?
Not at all, we recommend the relaxation benefits of spa use to everyone. We do ask, however, that expecting mothers contact the spa in advance in order to discuss treatment options and recommendations for their stage of pregnancy. There are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, specifically in the first trimester, but many that can be enjoyed.

What if I am late for my treatment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time of your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the spa at least six hours in advance to avoid being charged the full service fee.
